Phan Thiet en Mui Ne

"Phan Thiet is a really nice seaside town. This is cozy and atmospheric town and it's nicer than the large resorts in Mui Ne. There are hardly any foreign tourists here. The lack of tourists improves the atmosphere.
We stayed in the Swiss Village hotel which I can really recommend. The hotel is amazing and the private beach is fantastic. The pool was lovely. Breakfast was perfect and the lunch menu had everything we could have."

Phan Thiet Railway Station

The seaside town of Phan Thiet - is at the end railway branch in Binh Thuan. Bin Thuan is a junction on the main route Saigon-Danang-Hue-Hanoi the Reunification line, formerly known as the Muong Man. There are daily one or two of Saigon direct trains to Phan Thiet, shown in the schedule below.
Upon arrival in Phan Thiet station you will find plenty of buses and taxis waiting to take you to the popular resort of Mui Né (24 km) from Phan Thiet, a drive of 25-30 minutes. Alternatively you in Binh Thuan already taking a taxi to Pan Thiet (15.7km) or Mui Ne (38km).

It also runs a red bus between Phan Thiet and Mui Né. The bus number is 9 and he departs every 20 minutes. It runs from half past five in the morning until eight o'clock at night and the price of the trip is about 30 cents. The bus departs just outside of Phan Thiet rai;way station. It stops at different locations at resorts along the coast. The bus is a good alternative, because a trip with a taxi, you'll pay about 12 dollars.

A bus ride from Saigon to Phan Thiet / Mui Né is not recommended. It takes about 8 hours and there are often roadworks.

Busnr. 9 to Mui Né

Staying in Phan Tiet is better than in the 10 km distant Mui Ne, which has not so many people. Phan Thiet is a reasonable city of nearly 400,000 inhabitants. The friendly population is interested in you and you can try to chat with them. Also, they will not try to get into their shop you. Try local cuisine by simply sliding in at one of the food / street stalls. Wait, what dish is prepared for you, or try with hand gestures and basic English to explain what you want to eat. Simply assign a board to a Vietnamese that something good has on his plate. They will prepare it for you.
